Opened in September 2001, the O’Sulloc Tea Museum is South Korea’s first museum dedicated to tea.
Serving as both a cultural space and a nature-friendly leisure spot, the entire building is designed in the shape of a cup used to drink green tea. Rather than focusing only on Korea, the museum covers tea culture from a large number of countries, both East and West.

The “O” in O’Sulloc serves as a cheerful exclamation, while also expressing multiple meaning: “origin of Sulloc,” “only Sulloc,” and “of Sulloc cha.” The heady aroma of green tea filling the interior of the museum and the view through the glass windows of the lush green tea fields outside have a soothing, mesmerizing effect, making this a place all tourists in Jeju should visit at least once. The attached tea house serves warm tea roasted by a tea master, in addition to other beverages, ice cream, and desserts made with O’Sulloc green tea. The rich green tea roll cake is particularly popular among older patrons, as it is not overly sweet.

O’Sulloc’s Tea Stone gives visitors the chance to experience the “O’Sulloc Premium Tea Course,” exploring Jeju’s past, present, and future. The first 10 minutes involve a stroll through the front yard of the museum and the surrounding tea fields, followed by a 20-minute tea ceremony themed around calligrapher Kim Jeong-hee. Next, tea cocktails are served with three types of garnishes made from Jeju ingredients. The course concludes with a workshop on roasting and packaging organic tea.
