Jeju’s largest shopping district, located in Jeju City by the flowing Sanjicheon Stream, Gwandeokjeong Pavilion and Samseonghyeol Shrine.

Chilseong-ro is a street with a storied history, now the main shopping district for the island. The name “Chilseong” dates back to the Tamna era as “Chilseongdan.” The street was once called by the Japanese-style “Chilseongtong,” but changed to “Chilseong-ro” in the late 1960s.

The street began to play host to a variety of modern-style shops starting in the Japanese colonial period, initially centered around tailor shops and other clothing-related stores. Chilseong-ro remains home to numerous clothing and accessory stores even today, continuing to attract a steady flow of visitors as a shopping hub.

A number of historical attractions are located nearby, including Gwandeokjeong Pavilion, Mok-gwanaji, and Samseonghyeol Shrine, in addition to Tapdong Plaza, a popular hotspot for cultural events and to enjoy beautiful ocean views. The street is also adjacent to Jeju Central Underground Shopping Mall, Black Pork Street, and Dongmun Market, offering diverse options for both food and sightseeing.
