As oreum are located in mountainous areas, many of them may not appear accurately on GPS navigation systems, and a large number lack parking facilities. In addition, some oreum are located on private land, with access restricted or prohibited entirely. Please check the latest information with the Jeju Tourism Information Center (064-740-6000) before attempting to visit an oreum.
Dodubong is an oreum located right next to Jeju International Airport, an easy climb with gentle slopes. The southern slope is covered with grass and dotted with pine trees, while the northern slope has a forest of cedars and deciduous trees. There are two peaks, with the eastern one being higher. A wide range of plants grow wild in the surrounding area, including laceshrub, mountain ash, leather-lead vibernum, East Asian Mallotus, calanthe, and anemone. From the trail and summit, the planes taking off and landing at Jeju Airport can be viewed against the backdrop of the sea.

The summit is home to a well-known photo zone known as the “Kisses Zone.” Located on the side opposite the airport, the Dodubong Kisses Zone is so popular that visitors must often wait in line to snap their perfect photo. Trees form a sort of triangular frame through which a stunning view of the sea is visible; standing within this frame creates a perfect backdrop for memorable photos. Since it’s hard to take good pictures alone, we recommend visiting with a companion.

Near Dodubong lies the Dodudong Rainbow Coastal Road, a colorful seaside walkway ideal for a relaxing stroll or photo session with the ocean as a backdrop. We highly recommended visiting both spots together.
