Pada musim sejuk, monsun barat laut boleh menghasilkan perbezaan suhu yang ketara, sementara suhu tinggi dan kelembapan jisim udara Pasifik Utara pada musim panas menyebabkan ribut hujan yang hebat. Purata suhu tahunan bagi wilayah Seogwipo ialah 16.2 ℃, manakala 15.5 ℃ untuk Jeju-si dan kawasan alp, julat tahunan terkecil di negara ini. Tambahan pula, dengan adanya Gunung Hallasan bermakna Seogwipo-si adalah 0.5 ~ 1 ℃ lebih sejuk daripada Jeju-si pada musim panas dan lebih panas daripada Jeju-si pada musim sejuk.
