Kkamdon Heukdwaeji is a restaurant specializing in black pork, recommended by a famous local YouTuber and located near the Shin Jeju Rotary Club. Popular among locals for over 10 years, this establishment is a favorite location for after-hours gatherings of office workers. The black pork used here is certified by Jeju World Natural Heritage, Jeju Massim, antibiotic-free livestock, and HACCP standards, ensuring high quality and reliability.

The Assorted Black Pork Platter (800g) served here offers excellent value for the price, with popular cuts such as samgyeopsal, ogyeopsal, hangjeongsal (pork neck), and gabrisal (pork cheek) all included for only 76,000 KRW. Individual portions (200g) of ogyeopsal, moksal (pork shoulder), gabrisal, and hangjeongsal are also available for the low price of 20,000 KRW, with generous portions of side dishes such as seasoned bean sprouts, steamed eggs, and salad provided to whet your appetite.

Sprinkling coarse salt on the meat as it grills enhances the natural taste, while dipping the meat into bubbling meljeot cooking on the grill creates a perfect savory flavor combination. Garlic, mushrooms, and onions cooked in rich pork fat make perfect pairings to complete your feast.

This restaurant is known for serving thick cuts of meat, resulting in a distinctive texture and flavor. Black pork moksal and ogyeopsal are offered for the reasonable price of 20,000 KRW per 200g serving.

Staff grill the meat over charcoal for you right at your table, allowing it to absorb a subtle smoky flavor as it cooks while letting you have a hands-off dining experience. This establishment operates as both a restaurant and a butcher shop, offering fresh, high-quality meat for reasonable prices by trading directly with farms to cut down on distribution costs. Customers can browse to choose their own desired cuts of meat from their wide selection, which includes white pork and beef in addition to black pork.

Black pork ogyeopsal and moksal are priced at 6,800 KRW per 100g, with a 300g minimum order. Table setting fees are 4,000 KRW for adults (middle school and above), 3,000 KRW for children (elementary school and above), and free for preschoolers. The restaurant also features large tables and rooms, making it a great choice for larger groups.

Basic side dishes are provided at the table, with additional sides and vegetables available at the self-service corner. Your chosen meat is grilled over charcoal to enhance the flavor and add a smoky aroma. Located near Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market, Bbolsaljip is so popular that patrons are often required to wait in line before entering. They exclusively serve special cuts of Jeju black pork direct from the slaughterhouse. Six rare cuts, each with only a small amount available from each pig butchered, are carefully selected and prepared fresh every morning: cheongyeopsal (layered pork belly), bidansal, nunsseopsal (pork brow), bbolsal (pork cheek), kkotsal (marbled pork), and donsaesal.

Their Special Assorted Platter allows you to try all of these rare cuts at once. The nunsseopsal is a particularly rare cut, with less than 500g obtained per pig, and offers a distinct chewy texture that is quite different from regular samgyeopsal or moksal. All meat is prepared to order, maximizing freshness.

The restaurant also provides a self-serve bar known as “The Dream Corner,” where customers can choose from a variety of sauces and side dishes to accompany the meat, including salted hairtail, meljeot, fresh wasabi, pink salt, and seasonal pickles. Instructions for meat preparation and eating methods are posted on the wall, allowing you to experience diverse flavors by combining the different cuts of meat with the most complementary leafy vegetables, bean sprouts, and onions.
