As an island famed for its black pork, you won’t be surprised to find out that Jeju didn’t traditionally have a huge number of vegetarian restaurants. However, over the years several specialty restaurants and cafes have popped up that provide ample choice for those who don’t eat meat. On this list of Jeju vegetarian restaurants, we’ll cover everything from brunch cafes to those that sell traditional Korean fare.

Cafe 901

Cafe 901 is a specialty vegan cafe that only uses natural ingredients. The restaurant has a small brunch menu consisting of sandwiches, salads, and soups. It also sells a variety of smoothies and juices and—if you’d prefer—coffee and teas. The cafe is situated close to Jeju City but is just far away enough that it is surrounded by nature. If you want to combine your meal with another activity, you’ll be pleased to know that it is right next to Jeju Museum of Art and Jeju Loveland.

Dasoni

Dasoni is a restaurant that sells Korean vegetarian food. This makes it the perfect place for vegetarians who want to try something Korean on their trip. Stepping into Dasoni is like entering a Jeju restaurant from the past. This means it is full of large wooden beams, traditional decorations, and low sturdy tables. It also means you sit at the floor while eating. The traditional interior is reflected in the menu which contains dishes like bibimbap, noodle soups, and rice porridges. These are all served alongside a variety of vegetarian side dishes and rice. Following your meal, you can try one of several teas on the menu. Dasoni is located in the center of Jeju City around one to two kilometers from the bus terminal, depending on the route you take.

And Yu Cafe

And Yu Cafe is a British and Korean vegan restaurant. While other restaurants on the list focus on the healthy aspect of vegan food, And Yu Cafe goes big on flavor with dishes including veggie burgers, vegan ham sandwiches, and fried vegan prawns with chips. The cafe also has an excellent selection of cakes, and you can even grab afternoon tea for two. This includes cake, sandwiches, and a pot of tea. And Yu Cafe is situated in Hallim just over two kilometers from Hyeopjae Beach—one of the most popular spots on Jeju.

Eat Your Greens

Eat Your Greens is a vegan cafe situated in Andeok-myeon on the southern coast of Jeju. It has a small menu that includes delicious soup, toasts, and bagels as well as vegan tiramisu and chocolate for dessert. If you’d rather just have a drink, you can grab a smoothie, coffee, or one of a variety of teas. You can also buy homemade cakes and granola to take away. The cafe has a nice homely vibe, although you should be aware that it is small, which means it isn’t a great spot for large groups.
