We’ve all been there… the trip is nearly over and the impending trip back home can make you uneasy. Since you’ve had such a pleasant time on the island, how about finding that perfect useful household item or memorable Jeju keepsake? There are a wide range of cute, charming and sometimes very useful souvenirs to choose from. These items will fill you with happiness as you recount your trip to family and friends, or if you’re just on your own and reminiscing. Either way, you can relive your pleasant Jeju Island trip this way… so let’s go shopping!

Warm Jeju sensibility captured in ceramicsNana Iro Ako Jeju

Nana Iro Ako Jeju sells small souvenirs and home accessories like pottery, candles and wooden kitchenware. It is not a large space, but the wood and ceramic items fill the store with a warm atmosphere. You can pick up something small like a Jeju fridge magnet or even a small potted plant filled with dried Jeju flowers and grasses. If you’re more into jewelry, there are rings, bracelets, and earrings of silver and porcelain. The wide variety means you can choose the piece that most reminds you of your Jeju trip.

The preserved flowers are especially nice as they are unique to you and Jeju’s nature. The shop uses a special preservation technique that should keep the flowers, like foxtails, looking pristine. Have a cup of coffee or tea while you peruse the selection. The shop also offers a hands-on, day-long ceramics class, if you have the time and make a reservation.

This might be an unusual option for those looking to capture their Jeju experience in a particular item, but there’s probably something for everyone here, and if not, just browsing is entertaining, too.

The vintage feel of the 1920s onwardsLittle Forest

Located in the Jungmun Tourist Complex, Little Forest is a gift shop and cafe filled with a vintage sensibility. A very special detail is that the owner has collected vintage items from the 1920s through the 1960s while traveling. It’s a great place to browse and you can enjoy a coffee or tea while you feast your eyes on this menagerie of vintage bowls, cups, plates, teapots, and design accessories.

A unique kitchenware store right downtownOur Kitchen

Located in downtown Nohyeong-dong, Jeju City, this is an kitchenware store. It sells discount bowls, kitchen utensils, kitchen accessories, imported foods, and more. Many of the items are not otherwise available for purchase on Jeju. This makes it — in addition to the low prices — an attractive place to shop, so you’ll find it quite busy with locals and tourists alike.

If you’re in the market for some stainless, wood, or plastic items to use in your kitchen at home, or as gifts, then you’re sure to find something great here. Rather than just browsing online, try walking among the displays and tables of Our Kitchen to find that perfect item for that special someone.

Given that this area of Jeju Island is so beautiful, especially the nearby beaches of Woljeong, you can also opt to stay at the guesthouse on the property, too. Annyeonghan Gyejeol (betterday.modoo.at/?link=56u4a3rq).
