Jeju Olle Trails

Jeju Olle Trail is a series of walking routes on Jeju Island, 130km off the southwest coast of Korea. This beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site is almost sub-tropical in climate, its scenery passing from windswept coastline, through countless tangerine groves crisscrossed by distinctive stone walls, and up to the 1,950 meter peak of Halla-san(mountain). The best way to travel Jeju Island is to hike Jeju Olle Trail as it affords any hikers experiences often missed with the speed a vehicle brings. Jeju Olle Trails consists of 21 main routes that loop the islands’s coastal region. There are 5 sub routes that take in Jeju’s interior or smaller neighboring islands. Together the 26 routes stretch 425km in total. Each route has its own unique charms. By hiking the trail it is possible to appreciate the many views and cultural variety of Jeju Island. Jeju Olle Foundation is a non-profit organization which develops and maintains Jeju Olle Trail. Local residents, volunteers and donors provide all-round support in operation and maintenance.
