Introducing “Jeju Ttukbaegi,” a popular restaurant located near Seongsan Ilchulbong (otherwise known as Sunrise Peak). Jeju Ttukbaegi is a Korean restaurant specializing in seafood dishes, including their signature abalone seafood ttukbaegi. In 2023, it was selected as one of Jeju’s “Baeknyeon Ga-ge” (Long-Lasting Small Business), a designation given to beloved establishments that have been in business for over 30 years to highlight both their superior quality and potential for growth, imbuing the establishment with a sense of trustworthiness. 

The restaurant has both a parking lot in front and another across the street for customers’ convenience. The interior is spacious and comfortable, and since the restaurant opens early in the morning, it’s perfect if you’re on the lookout for someplace to have breakfast in Seongsan.

Their signature dish is the abalone seafood ttukbaegi, a hot pot featuring large abalone along with generous portions of shrimp and clams cooked in a light broth that will leave you feeling refreshed. Another specialty is their grilled mackerel, cooked to golden brown perfection to bring out the light, rich natural flavor while eliminating any unpleasant fishy odors. Another hard-to-resist dish is their spicy braised hairtail, cooked with potatoes and radish and seasoned to flavorful perfection. All main dishes are perfectly complimented by their array of refreshing, palate-cleansing side dishes.

They also serve other dishes such as abalone porridge and sea urchin soup, making this an ideal choice to experience some fresh Jeju seafood.
