A permanent market in the old town of Jeju, known for its traditional sundae (Korean blood sausage)
Located in the old town of Jeju, Boseong Market has been in operation for over 50 years since its establishment in 1972. It possesses a quaint, unique atmosphere, allowing a glimpse into the lives of Jeju’s merchants and shopkeepers. The market is home to a wide variety of stores, including restaurants, butcher shops, seafood shops, shops selling dried goods, bakeries, rice cake shops, and repair shops, and offers a wide array of can’t-miss foods to enjoy.
The most iconic dish found in Boseong Market is Jeju-style traditional sundae, with a cluster of restaurants all specializing in it naturally forming a sundae alley. Each restaurant offers its own unique twist, resulting in a variety of sundae dishes such as sundae-gukbap (soup), sundae served with organ meats, and sundae noodles.
