Hyeongjeseom Islet is an uninhabited island that can be seen right in front of Sanbangsan Mountain. It is located 1.5km south from Sagye-ri Port.

One island is big and the other is small, so they look like brothers that are facing each other. The big and long one is called Bonseom Islet, and the smaller one is called Otseom Islet.

On Bonseom Islet has a small sandy plain while Otseom Islet has beautiful columnar joints. There are little islands and rocks that you cannot see when the tide is high, but they appear when the tide is low. So depending on which direction you’re looking at, it might look as if there are as few as 3 islands to as many as 8 islands. This is the reason why it is a popular place for photographs during the sunset and sunrise.

It is also known as the best place for fishing. The natural arch underwater in Hyeongjeseom Islet is already famous among divers. You can enjoy the magnificent view that Antipathes white corals, alcyonacea, damselfish, and half-lined cardinals create together.
