Lightning Museum Jeju
Lightning Museum Jeju, which opened in March 2015, is the world’s first permanent experience-based science museum to deal with the subject of lightning. Located on 83,000㎡ of land in the vicinity of Topyeong-dong, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do, it offers a close up experience of the splendor of Hallasan Mountain, Korea’s representative volcano, as well as the beautiful coastal waters of Seogwipo. This center helps foster the creativity and inquiry skills of the next generation, who will lead the age of advanced technology, and teaches them about mysterious natural phenomena and scientific technology through practical applications such as the “Lightning Tunnel”, “Lightning Music Show”, and “Van de Graaff.”
