In Jeju, “veke” refers to a pile of stones created from plowing of a field. 

Located in Sinhyo-dong, Seogwipo-si, Veke was once a cafe but has now been transformed into a garden-focused space and has become a popular tourist attraction. 

Veke was a cool place when it was a cafe, but as a garden, it offers even more.

As you enter, you’ll be greeted by the fragrance of flowers. 

The place vast, so it's best to take your time explore at your own pace. 

This lush, green place offers photo opportunities around every corner. 

You can participate in hands-on activities in this naturalistic garden. 

There is no extra charge for these programs as they are included in the entrance fee. 

Garden Docent Tours are available at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. from Building A, where an in-house narrates the story of the ever-changing garden. 

Docent tours must be booked in advance via Naver, but if there are seats available, you can join on the spot. 

Each session accommodates up to 10 participants.

Another program, Immersive Time (Veke Museum), immerses you in the garden while listening to music accompanied by a garden documentary. 

There are many different ways to get to know plants that you might not otherwise know about.

They plan to offer many more in the future. 

Veke is a place of healing.

The garden café offers a wide selection of food and drinks inspired by the unique flavors of Jeju. 

The menu includes Americano, Doldam Spanner, Caffè Einspänne topped with stone wall-shaped cookies, as well as matcha and Jeju Volcano Rock Tea. 

A variety of garden-themed books are available for purchase in a cozy corner of the cafe. 

The sunlight streaming through the glass windows fills the space with warmth and energy.
