▲ “The Milky Way” by Lee Sunu, the Grand Prize winner of the “Night Scenery and Illumination Photography Contest” [by Jeju Technopark]

Here is a tourist site that utilizes the night illumination of an offshore wind farm, Tamra Offshore Wind Farm in Hangyeong-myeon.

The night lighting of Tamra Offshore Wind Farm began as a project to utilize the surplus power generated by the wind farms and batteries left over from the use of EVs to provide an enjoyable spectacle for the islanders and the visitors. It involves a panoramic nighttime illumination of the Jeju sea using colored lights installed on 10 offshore wind turbines in the Dumo-ri and Geumdeung-ri areas of Hangyeong-myeon. The lights are turned on every day after sunset until 10:00 p.m.
