This buckwheat noodle shop uses the sign of the previous business "Jeju Acupuncture Shop", which operated at that location for many years.

The present owner ran a Japanese restaurant in Seoul for many years before deciding to move to Jeju Island — the nation’s largest producer of buckwheat — and start an establishment that specializes in soba noodles, a rarity on Jeju at that time.

The broth for the noodle soup is specially developed for Korean palates, so the soba you try will definitely taste different from native Japanese soba.

The menu is made up of cold and hot versions of their soba noodle soup, as well as fried tofu rice balls (yubu chobap) and croquettes, among other side dishes.

In the soba there is one, or perhaps two, deep fried shrimp. The horseradish, the radish, the seaweed laver, and fried shrimp go very well with the soba and broth. The fried tofu rice balls are standard, but the fried tofu is imported from Japan, so you can taste this.

This small restaurant has 4 tables for 2 people, and 1 table for 4 people. If you come by car, you can use the free public parking lot in the area.
