    The charm of a house
    with 100 years of tradition

    1915 Geo

This is a Jeju traditional house built in 1945. The interior of the building follows the Japanese style of architecture, because it was constructed during the period of Japanese occupation. The characteristic of its design is that it uses the geo-pattern with the motif of Seongsan Ilchulbong. Gyeongja Hong, a 77-year-old diver still active in the waters, and her daughter-in-law, a narrator of the Seongsan Ilchulbong operate this geo-house.

Crossing between civilization and modern times

    Jeju Dolzip Scoria

Located in the Manjanggul region, the application of figures that resemble volcanic scoria and caves is a distinct characteristic. The appearance of an old Jeju stone house has been preserved, but the interior has been renovated in a modern style, so that visitors can stay without any inconveniences. The two sections face one another, and are centered on the yard which reflects the structure of a Jeju traditional house, ensuring that traces of the past can be slowly taken in. You may rent both houses for a more convenient stay.

The Jeju ocean as your front yard

    Haeilweol

When you enter Haeilweol, an atmosphere surrounds your whole body and makes it feel as if Jeju’s sea is a part of Haeilweol. Beyond the stone wall piled in Haeilweol’s front yard, one can try fishing and catching sea cucumbers, based on the tide time. Haeilweol was constructed with the concept of an outdoor museum which allows guests to experience the marine culture of the Gimnyeong region. Filled with the mystics of ancient times, this place is highly sought after by Jeju residents as well.
