The traditional Korean-style house (hanok) reflecting ideal and wise living style of ancestors contains a life to meditate in harmony with nature. The hanok-stay "Hallagung" is surrounded by the nature of Seogwipo and provides the exotic mood with palm trees and the quiet mood with hanok. It provides various types of rooms including an ondol-room in the wooden structure with windows lined with Korean paper, a special room having the panoramic view, gangnyeongjeong in the form of hanok cottage, gyotaejeon, and donggung. 2019년 1월 29일 숙박했다. 처음엔 한옥호텔에 대한 기대가 컸다. 그러나 계단을 올라가야 한다는 것부터 기대와 어긋났다. 둘이 밤을 꼬박 새웠다. 환기도 안되서 문을 열어 놓자니 밖에서 보여 그럴 수도 없었고, 에어컨에 환기장치를 이용하자니 청소가 안되어 있어서 먼지가 장난아니라 작동시킬 수도 없었다. 뭔지모르게 실내환경이 우리와 잘 맞지 않아서 쾌적한 숙소는 아니었다. 제주에서 그냥 잘 걸 괜히 중간에 서귀포 한옥호텔에서 자보고 싶다고 숙소를 변경한 것이 무척 후회됐다. 다음 날 아침에 주변 호텔도 산책하면서 들러보았는 데 관리상태가 형편없었다. 주변의 청소상태가 대부분 엉망이었고, 폭포쪽으로 내려가는 길들도 보수가 되지 않아서 거의다 폐쇄되어 있었다. 서귀포에 관광객들이 안오는 이유를 알 것 같았다. 다시 찾을 것 같지 않다.
