A spectacular emerald light that is unfolded before your eyes.

Baengdue Badang, creating your own Jeju sea. There are many beautiful beaches with different individuality in Jeju.

No matter where you go, you won't be too disappointed, but if you're looking for a quiet and pretty 'sea of our own', Pyeongdae Beach is it. It is located between the famous Woljeong-ri Beach and Sehwa Beach in the east, and Jeju Olle Course 20 passes through this location. Pyeongdae-ri, Gujwa-eup, is the best carrot-producing area in the country, but it is a rural village that retains its old name, Baengdui.

It is a lesser-known sea because it is relatively small for a beach. It is so clean that even the sand on the floor is transparent. The color of the sea is still as beautiful as it was in Sehwa or Woljeong, the neighboring towns. Because it is a small beach, it is a good place to play in the water and sand with children, and because it is quiet, it can be said to be the Jeju Sea that only you want to know about.

Around the beach, you can see the Haenyeo fishing village and the Haenyeo Bulteok, as well as the Olle Trail and Batdam. This is the place where you can see the most Jeju-like scenery. This is also the filming location for the movie <Gyechun Halmang>, which tells the story of a Jeju female diver grandmother and her granddaughter. The Jeju International Tourism Marathon, which runs from Gimnyeong Seongsegi Beach to Woljeongri Beach to Pyeongdae Beach to Jongdal Coastal Road, is also held every year. The beach is usually quiet, but during the summer, you can rent tubes and parasols from local youth groups and enjoy simple food.

At night, it is good to quietly enjoy the stars (cuttlefish fishing boats floating with lights on) floating on the sea.

It is 35km southeast from Jeju Airport, 2.5km from Sehwa Beach, where the largest 5-day market and Bellong Market in the east are located, 6km from Bijarim Forest, a thousand-year-old nutmeg tree forest, 7km from Woljeongri Beach, 10km from Manjanggul Cave, and 15km from Seongsan Ilchulbong, so you can also look around together.

To travel by bus, take bus number 110-1 at Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal, go to Songdang-ri stop, transfer to number 260, get off at Pyeongdae stop, and walk for about 10 minutes. In Seogwipo, take bus 101 at Seogwipo Intercity Bus Terminal, go to Sehwa Transfer Stop (Sehwa-ri), transfer to bus 201, get off at Pyeongdae Elementary School stop, and walk for about 10 minutes.
