Red Jeju in Aewol offers a splendid sea view. Their menu includes two items: Seongsan Samhap (platter of seafood for two people) and Halla Samhap (platter of seafood for three or four people). Their dishes include abalone, stir-fried black pork, common octopus and so on. Each dish is decorated with a lid shaped like Hallasan Mountain on which abalone is grilled. When you open the lid after the abalone is cooked, you will find fresh seafood such as octopus, shrimp, and crab. Note that each menu item is limited to 20 sets a day.
Since Red Jeju operates on a reservation basis, you must make a reservation before you visit.
Red Jeju was introduced on the KBS2 show “2TV Live Info Show” (Ep. 181) and SBS’s “Live Today” (Ep.1 652) as a restaurant where visitors can enjoy delicious black pork and fresh seafood at the same time. It was recently featured on SBS’s “My Little Old Boy” as singer Kim Gun-mo’s favorite restaurant. These days, hundreds of calls for reservations are said to be flooding in.
