Udo Maritime Park
With a great view of the main island of Jejudo and Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, Udo Island is a pristine marine zone. It is named for its shape, which resembles a cow lying down on top of the ocean. Udo is famous for the tenacity of its women divers, as well as its fresh seafood.
In 2001, the area around two ports of the island (Udo Port, Haumokdong Port) and a 25,863㎢ area around the ocean of Udo Island were designated as Udo Maritime Park.
It takes approximately 15 minutes by ferry to reach Udo Port from Seongsan Port.
While it is possible to bring cars by ferry to the island, Udo Island’s roads are narrow so renting bicycles or travelling on foot is recommended.
The island is already famous in Korea as a filming location for movies and commercials, making it a must-visit tourist attraction for many travelers. Buying a passenger ticket to Udo Island will make you eligible for a discount to Udo Maritime Park as well.
