Seongsan: A Place Famous for Its Sunrise Peak, Geo Trail, and Udo Island
There are many words to describe Seongsan. To name a few, there is the sunrise at the Seongsang Ilchulbong, the incredible sight of the strangely shaped rocks appearing and disappearing with the waves at Seopjikoji, the famous coloration of the sea reflecting corals at Udo Island, its Geo Trail, and Ojo-ri which receives sunlight earlier than any other town in Jeju Island.
Walking along the coast where Seongsanseong Fortress was built for defense against pirates and foreign attacks, viewing murals at the mural village in Sincheon-ri, and looking at Seongsan Ilchulbong when the tides ebb at Gwangchigi Beach.
If time allows, also on the bucket list of things to do in Jeju Island is to take a boat from Seongsanpo Port Passenger Terminal to visit Udo Island.
