Jeju Folk Village is a site preserving the traditional culture of Jeju Island, considered the most authentically Jeju place on the island. It is an open-air museum built to replicate and preserve the cultural heritage of Jeju Island in its original form based off of the research and advice of experts in the field, combining elements of 19th-century mountain villages, mid-mountain villages, and fishing villages, local folk religions, government offices, and areas where exiles from the main peninsula resided. In particular, the 100 traditional houses on exhibit are authentic residences, home to people living on Jeju Island many years ago, and now serve as spaces where folk craft artisans strive to revive traditional skills.

Visitors can experience several different aspects of Jeju Culture before even official entering Jeju Folk Village, with a heart-shaped grove of trees waiting to greet them just past the ticket booth.
One of the themed exhibition halls, the Suiseki Exhibition Hall, was made possible through a generous donation of hundreds of ornamental stones, stone display cases, bonsai bowls, stone relics, and commemorative medals from Mr. and Mrs. Moon Seong-ik, representing their personal collection which they had gathered over the course of 30 years. They are now displayed in a 150㎡ exhibition space within the Folk Village. Other facilities include an arcade, comic book room, and folk play experience zone, making Jeju Folk Village the perfect choice for adults to relive old memories and children to create new ones.

Jeju Folk Village has also been designated as a “Unique Venue” for MICE events, recognized for its distinctive local character.
Visitors can get a 10% discount on tickets when booking through Naver Reservation, so we encourage you to take advantage of this convenient option.
